A treasure from Yamanaka Onsen! A Japanese confectionery born from the meeting of hot springs that gush out there and the advanced techniques of the traditional craft Yamanaka lacquerware. This treasure that hopes to bring you luck through the warmth of wood and hot spring water is filled with dry confectionery from Kaga. Open up the wafers and enjoy eating what is inside.
The wood is crafted piece by piece by Yamanaka wood lacquerware master Yoshitaka Nawashiro. Including the knob portion, each one is made using a single piece of natural cherry tree wood. As it is made from unlacquered wood, it allows you to feel the warm texture of wood. Due to this, if it gets wet, it may change shape or break. Therefore, avoid moisture and care with using a dry cloth. Enjoy the maturation of the wood that becomes smoother and more lustrous over time.

The manufacturer was established in 1905. Each piece is delicately hand made by Japanese sweet artisans in Yamanaka Hot Springs in Kaga, Ishikawa. The wafers are lightly put together. The wafer is also flavored with salt, and you can enjoy eating it. Gently open the wafers up to find the sweets and a fortune (the fortune slip is not edible).
There are 78 kinds of fortune slips! Look forward to finding which kind of fortune you'll get. The fortunes are translated and explained in our special feature article.
The manufacturer's sweets are made using carefully selected ingredients that are suitable to each sweet. Please enjoy a delicacy created by a genuine Japanese-style sweets enthusiast.
